What is Slowed and Reverb?
Slowed and Reverb is a music remix technique where a song is slowed down (typically to 0.75x–0.9x speed) and layered with a reverb effect, creating a dreamy, atmospheric version of the original track. The style originated from DJ Screw's "chopped and screwed" technique in 1990s Houston hip-hop and has since evolved into a massive online phenomenon.
